Thrash metal legends Slayer return in 2025 with two massive UK concerts
Slayer make their UK comeback in 2025 with two massive shows in Cardiff and London
Back in 2018, Slayer announced they were calling it day. After a lengthy farewell tour which took them through to 2019, that day came. But now, after six years laying dormant, the day has come for the thrash metal titan’s return.
The band’s line-up will be comprised of founding members in vocalist/bassist Tom Araya and guitarist Kerry King, as well as former Exodus guitarist Gary Holt who has been a bandmate since 2013, with drummer Paul Bostaph also drafted in again.
Having teased a comeback on their socials over the past week, today Slayer have announced their first UK dates in six years with two massive concerts.
Firstly, Slayer will head to Wales to perform to 35,000 people at Cardiff’s Blackweir Fields on Thursday 3 July, before heading to London’s Finsbury Park on Sunday 6 July where they’ll play to 45,000 head-bangers. Sandwiched in-between is the band’s planned appearance at Ozzy Osbourne‘s star-studded final ever live show with Black Sabbath on Saturday 5 July.
Slayer – one of heavy metal’s “Big Four” original membership alongside Metallica, Megadeth and Anthrax – are bringing a stacked list of support acts with them too, with Amon Amarth, Anthrax, Mastodon, Hatebreed and NECKBREAKKER set to appear across the two dates.
