Sam Fender announces Proper Massive Stadium Tour for 2027
Sam Fender's 2027 stadium tour takes him to six cities next year including Wembley, the Etihad and a homecoming at Newcastle's St James' Park
Sam Fender announced an enormous UK stadium tour for 2027, aptly dubbed the Proper Massive Stadium Tour.
What better way to celebrate his newfound status as the artist behind the longest-running number-one single in UK music history (with his and Olivia Dean‘s record-breaking duet ‘Rein Me In’) than embarking on the biggest tour of his life.
The six-city tour will see Sam Fender head to Newcastle’s St. James’ Park before hitting Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, then two nights at London’s iconic Wembley Stadium before a show at Edinburgh’s Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium, and finally two nights at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester.
Fender kicks off the Proper Massive Stadium Tour with two shows at Newcastle’s St. James’ Park, returning to the venue that hosted his first ever stadium gig back in 2023. Following in the footsteps of idols Bruce Springsteen and Bob Dylan, he became the first native artist to headline the football stadium. He might bring along some surprises too – last time around, Fender brought out hometown hero in AC/DC‘s Brian Johnson to play a raucous rendition of ‘Back In Black’.
Since then the artist has leapt and bound into the big leagues with the release of his lauded album People Watching, co-produced by The War On Drugs‘ Adam Granduciel and home to both the title track and his record-breaking Olivia Dean duet. Not only was People Watching a number one album, it spurred Sam Fender on to win the Mercury Prize Award in 2025, a flurry of BRIT Awards, and an Ivor Award for Songwriter of the Year, since its release.
With Wunderhorse announced as main support for each UK show, the Proper Massive Stadium Tour promises to be, well, proper massive.
