Robbie Williams joins the 2027 British Grand Prix for Silverstone opening-night show

The British pop heavyweight will open Silverstone’s four-day Grand Prix weekend with a Thursday night M&S Mainstage set

Robbie Williams is heading to Silverstone. The singer will headline the opening concert of the 2027 Formula 1 British Grand Prix on Thursday 1 July, taking over the M&S Mainstage for the first night of the four-day event.

Williams becomes the first music headliner confirmed for next year’s British Grand Prix, following a 2026 weekend that brought 564,000 people through Silverstone’s gates – a new attendance record for the circuit. Recent Mainstage bills have featured Sam Fender, RAYE, Stormzy, David Guetta, Becky Hill and Fatboy Slim, turning the evenings after the track action into a sizeable part of the weekend themselves.

The timing finds Williams deep into another busy run. His latest album, BRITPOP, landed in January and arrived alongside a world tour through South America, Australia and New Zealand. His Silverstone appearance will come just two days before a 3 July 2027 date at Lytham Festival.

Then there’s the back catalogue. Williams now has a record 16 UK No.1 albums and 18 BRIT Awards, with three decades of solo hits available to build a set around. He was back on the BRITs stage in February 2026 too, fronting the ceremony’s closing tribute to Ozzy Osbourne.

The show adds another big British date to Williams’ calendar and gives Silverstone its first musical marker for 2027. Robbie on Thursday. Cars on Friday. Engines revved throughout.
