Zayn Malik kick-starts rumour mill with ‘Night Changes’ singalong

Zayn Malik's video clip has One Direction fans crossing their fingers for a reunion

Zayn Malik has well and truly set the cat amongst the pigeons with his most recent social media post and One Directioners have a lot of questions.

The former boy band star took to Instagram this week to share a clip of himself singing along to their hit song ‘Night Changes’, setting the rumour mill a-whirring.

Malik announced his departure from One Direction in 2015, shortly after the release of their album Four. Since then, he’s gone on to release solo music including the chart-topping ‘Pillowtalk’ that same year.

Now, in black-and-white footage recorded at home, Zayn can be heard singing along to one of the band’s biggest hits, the post acting as a lightning rod for all those fans still holding out hope for a 1D reunion.

Notably, fans spotted that Zayn’s former bandmate Louis Tomlinson was among those who liked the video on Instagram, which only further fueled theories that this was a sign from the former teen sensations.

The post comes just two months after Malik posted another home recording of him singing along to the One Direction hit ‘You & I’.

While fans have long hoped for a reunion of all five members, the band have never directly commented on any plans to get back together.
