Kelly Clarkson duets with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson to pay tribute to Loretta Lynn
The duo opened Monday’s episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show with a rendition of ‘Don’t Come Home a Drinkin’’
The Kelly Clarkson Show has been blessing us with some great duets lately. Fresh off a rendition of her own hit ‘Breakaway’ with Sam Smith, she opened this Monday’s episode with another special ‘Kellyoke’ performance, this time featuring Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. The two paid tribute to the late country star Loretta Lynn, covering her 1967 track ‘Don’t Come Home a Drinkin”.
The track was Lynn’s very first No. 1 on the Hot Country Songs chart and, over the 55 years since its release, has been covered many times by various country artists – and now one ex-wrestler. Lynn and The Rock don’t have much in common on paper, but Johnson seemed in his element during his playful duet with Clarkson. Watch below:
