It looks like a new Bruce Springsteen album might be on the way
Rolling Stone cofounder Jann Wenner hinted at the news that Springsteen may be ready to release a new record
Rolling Stone cofounder Jann Wenner caused a stir this weekend when he hinted that Bruce Springsteen’s next album could arrive as soon as this autumn.
“There’s a new Bruce record coming out this fall, which is stunning,” he told Billboard. “I’m listening to that.”
Last month, social media circulated a rumour that the album could contain soul covers, but this hasn’t been confirmed in any way. Springsteen himself has not formally addressed the rumours or announced an album. His last record was Letter To You, an E Street Band reunion album that arrived in autumn of 2020.
Wenner has been promoting his memoir, Like A Rolling Stone, which is available now. He and Springsteen will sit down together on Tuesday 20 Sept for a Q&A about the book at 92nd Street Y in New York.
