Watch the Aussie alt rockers cover the Scottish band for Like A Version
Australian alt rock group Gang of Youths have covered Travis‘ 1999 breakthrough hit, ‘Why Does It Always Rain On Me’. The session was filmed for Like A Version, the covers segment on Australian radio show triple j. You can watch the cover below.
“It’s just a really a timeless, beautiful song”, said singer Dave Le’aupepe in an interview with triple j. “Also, they’re a band that’s about as uncool as us, and I thought that was really sweet.”
The session was fit in amid the Gang of Youth’s Australian tour, while promoting their latest album angel in realtime. The band will be bringing the tour to the UK in November 2022, visiting the likes of London, Manchester, Belfast, Sheffield and more.
Travis are also on the road, visiting Derry, Belfast and Edinburgh from 11-14 August. Tickets are available here.
