Full cast revealed for Grace Pervades at London’s Theatre Royal Haymarket

The production reveals the names joining Ralph Fiennes and Miranda Raison onstage in the West End

The West End transfer of Grace Pervades opens 24 April at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, with Ralph Fiennes and Miranda Raison reprising their roles as Henry Irving and Ellen Terry. David Hare’s celebrated new play enjoyed a sell-out run at the Theatre Royal Bath, with a huge deal of praise for its central performances. Ahead of opening, the production has now revealed its full cast for the London run.

Ruby Ashbourne Serkis and Jordan Metcalfe will also return from the 2025 production of Grace Pervades at Theatre Royal Bath, reprising their roles as Ellen’s children Edith and Edward. Completing the cast will be Youness Bouzinab, Giulia Innocenti, Tom Kanji, Harriet Leitch, Guy Paul, Chris Porter, Maggie Service, Saskia Strallen, and Kathryn Wilder, with Katherine Liley and Sam Perry.

Grace Pervades follows Sir Henry Irving, the greatest actor of the Victorian Age, and Ellen Terry, one of the most beloved stars of her day, as she joins his Lyceum Theatre company. It was never known for sure if the two were lovers, but as Hare’s play highlights, their relationship nonetheless changed the theatre forever.

The production assembles a team of Olivier-winning creative talent, with direction from Jeremy Herrin, set design from Bob Crowley, costume design from Fotini Dimou, lighting design from Peter Mumford, sound design from Elizabeth Purnell, video design from Akhila Krishnan, wig, hair and make-up design from Susanna Peretz, compositions from Paul Englishby, and movement direction from Lucy Cullingford.
