Foo Fighters announce new album and share lead single ‘Rescued’

But Here We Are is out in June and has been called "the first chapter of the band's new life"

Foo Fighters have today (19 April) announced news of their 11th studio album, But Here We Are, set for release 2 June. The band have also released its lead single, ‘Rescued’. The record follows 2021’s Medicine At Midnight, and will be their first without drummer Taylor Hawkins after his untimely death in March 2022.

In a statement the new album has been described as “the first chapter of the band’s new life”.

Foo Fighters also note that the album comes after “a year of staggering losses, personal introspection and bittersweet remembrances”.

The new record will be “a brutally honest and emotionally raw response to everything Foo Fighters have endured recently,” the band continue. “But Here We Are is a testament to the healing powers of music, friendship and family.”
