Fontaines D.C. brought a fan onstage to play guitar for their Reading set
The Irish post-punk group gave one festivalgoer the experience of a lifetime
Fontaines D.C. fan Dexter was just trying his luck when he held up a sign asking to join the band onstage. However, when he was spotted by the group, Dexter was brought up to try his hand at the guitar part in the upbeat ‘Boys In The Better Land’ from their 2019 debut album, Dogrel. With a huge grin on his face, Dexter said a quick “hi” to the huge crowd before launching into the track.
This marks one of many times that musicians have invited fans up onstage to play with them. Here are 8 other times that artists have been upstaged by their own fans.
