Fleur East will make her West End debut in TINA – The Tina Turner Musical
The recording artist and former X Factor contestant will play the title role at the Aldwych Theatre this summer
Fleur East has been announced as the Aldwych Theatre’s new Tina Turner, sharing the title role in TINA – The Tina Turner Musical with current lead Karis Anderson. The singer and TV and radio presenter will play a limited run from June 24 to September 13, with performance dates set to vary. Audience members will be able to check which shows East is playing on the show’s official website.
TINA – The Tina Turner Musical is also now officially the longest-running show to ever play at the Aldwych Theatre, having extended its booking period through to January 2026. The show had its world premiere in London in April 2018, transferring to Broadway the following year, and has been nominated for three Olivier Awards and four WhatsOnStage Awards.
Fleur East first gained fame as a finalist on the 2014 season of The X Factor, later releasing her breakout hit ‘Sax’, which found chart success around the world. She’s become a familiar face on British TV, co-hosting Strictly: It Takes Two and even guest starring on Ted Lasso.
Producer Tali Pelman said of East’s casting: “Fleur is an exceptional talent who embodies many of Tina’s most defining qualities—resilience, determination, and charisma. We are thrilled to welcome her to the company.”
