Elton John plays his ‘final show’ in US at Dodger Stadium with special guests
Dua Lipa, Kiki Lee and Brandi Carlile all appeared onstage with John
After a break in the pandemic, Elton John’s mammoth of a farewell tour has been continuing its triumphant romp around the globe. The Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour, as it’s been nicknamed, is still ongoing, with dates lined up for next year. But it seems that John may be closing the American chapter of his life on the road, playing what was suggested to be his final ever US show at Dodger Stadium on Sunday 20 November.
The show, which was recorded for Disney+, was as huge, bright and colourful as anyone would hope from an Elton John performance. John also brought out some special guests. He united with Brandi Carlile for the duet version of ‘Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me’, once sung with George Michael. He also resurrected some of his collaborative hits, including ‘Cold Heart (PNAU Remix)’ with Dua Lipa and the astronomically successful ‘Don’t Go Breaking My Heart’ with Kiki Dee. Both women appeared live on stage with John to perform their respective tracks.
