Download Festival announces exciting updates to the festival site
With less than two months to go, the festival has announced its ‘Beyond The Bands’ offerings
Less than two months out from this year’s Download Festival, DLXXII has announced some exciting updates to the festival site for fans. Brand new this year are the Mercian Axe brewery bar serving locally brewed beers, the Hair Of The Dog pub with its own roof terrace and beer garden, and a brand new arena bar named The Iron Harp.
Returning is Bar Zero for the non-drinkers, along with the Raven Records’ pop-up vinyl store, which offers alcohol-free options, coffee and heavy metal talking therapy.
This year the site will also boast live blacksmithing workshops, an immersive experience entitled Darkfield Séance, a Heavy Metal Sports Day, axe throwing, skate ramps, wellness, yoga and talking therapy experiences, wrestling, RockFit, live fire cooking demos, daily themed quizzes, Old Sarum Tattoo and the Download Megastore, now bigger and better than ever.
The Welders Yard food and drink area will be returning to the top of the main arena, and there will also be over 160 food traders across the site, catering to all tastes and dietary requirements.
