Coldplay perform a piano cover of viral Louis Theroux song ‘Jiggle Jiggle’

During their show at Wembley, Chris Martin took to the keys to deliver a soulful rendition of the joke-rap track

Coldplay made time for a humorous cover in their recent show. A moment from a Chicken Shop Date interview with documentarian Louis Theroux went hugely viral on TikTok earlier this year, after Theroux performed a rap he’d learnt in a Weird Weekends episode two decades earlier. With a little remixing, the song went on to be one of the most popular sounds on the app for quite some time, and naturally spawned an accompanying dance.

In London’s Wembley Stadium this weekend, Coldplay front man Chris Martin decided to get in on the fun, taking a few seconds out of the band’s set to perform a stripped-down piano version of the track. “My money don’t jiggle jiggle…” he crooned into the mic, and the crowd, immediately catching on, cheered for more. Theroux recently teamed up with Jason Derulo and producing duo Duke & Jones to create a full version of the track, complete with a music video that sees him cruising around with Chicken Shop Date interviewer, Amelia Dimoldenberg.
