Britney Spears is back, and she’s bringing Elton John.

According to Page Six, Spears is reportedly now working on new music with John after the pair teamed up in the studio last week to record a new duet version of his classic ballad ‘Tiny Dancer’, some 50 years after it was first released.

John has been a long-time fan and friend of the star, and the duet was apparently his idea – also working with producer Andrew Watt, who has worked with the likes of Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus and Ozzy Osbourne.

Already being hyped up as “the song of the summer” before anyone actually hears it, the upcoming Elton/Spears ‘Tiny Dancer’ duet is one of the most highly anticipated pop songs of the year.

The track will also mark Spears’ first musical release since the 2016 track ‘Slumber Party’ which appeared on her Glory album.

Spears has said previously that she had no interest of working on new music after her near-14-year conservatorship was terminated in 2021. Recently, however, she posted a video of herself singing her debut track ‘…Baby One More Time’ on Instagram, saying that it had been “maybe too long” since she shared her voice with the world.

The pop superstar also said that she had wanted to release an updated version of the track but was not allowed to while under her conservatorship.
