BLACKPINK to debut new song in a virtual concert on battle royale game

The K-pop group plan to premier the new track during an in-game concert on PUBG MOBILE

BLACKPINK, one of the world’s most successful girl groups, is set to embark on the largest tour ever undertaken by a female K-pop band, with fresh music slated for an August release. It’s big news for their fans, known as ‘blinks’. Now it seems that there will be even more opportunity for them to interact with the K-pop powerhouses, this time virtually.

A collaboration has been announced between BLACKPINK and the battle royale game PUBG. The group is set to stage a virtual concert inside the game, titled “The Virtual”, in which they will debut a new song and music video. The concert will take place July 22-23 and July 29-30.

It is pleased to hold an In-Game Concert as the second collaboration between the world’s best group BLACKPINK and PUBG MOBILE, the best mobile game in the battle royale genre. We also hope to increase the opportunity for artists and fans to interact closely beyond the borders and language barriers.”
