Tion Wayne, 26-year-old from North London, is a part of the flourishing UK hip-hop scene currently being bolstered on all sides through top quality artists from all its sub-genres, a phenomenon that has lead to a huge increase in mainstream popularity. As established grime acts become international forces, the plethora of young talent breaking through with an acclaimed diverse skillset, and the emerging maturity of drill music, indicates that UK rap is only getting stronger. Within that, promising newcomer Tion Wayne is now ready to make that leap into stardom.

Collaboration is crucial to the culture, something Tion Wayne embodies to the fullest. Tion’s desirable talents have seen him team up with the likes of Russ, Sneakbo, Hardy Caprio, Geko, and Kojo Funds.

Keisha & Becky was already a hit, but Wayne and Russ enlisted even more contemporaries for what has become one of the biggest posse cuts of the year. Check out the viral over-the-top visuals for the remix below:

Wayne has also worked with a diverse range of producers throughout his discography, showcasing how he is at home rapping and singing over intricate instrumentals from the realms of afrobeats, grime, drill, dancehall, and trap. T is sometimes braggadocios, sometimes seductive, sometimes hard-hitting but his flow is consistently smooth and attention-grabbing, both live and on record. He’s also partial to some melodic vocalisations – expect some catchy auto-crooning complimenting high-octane bars.

Tion Wayne has been a pivotal member of the DIY underground grime scene since 2010. He has released top-quality mixtapes Wayne’s World (2014),Wayne’s World 2 (2016), as well as Transition (2017). He also supported Torey Lanez, Sarkodie & Rick Ross on tour in the lead up to what were the defining few months of his career. In 2018 he broke into the UK charts, began amassing huge Spotify streaming numbers and Youtube views, but arguably most importantly made his mark on the live circuit.

A couple of highly sought after and impressive London shows at Electric Ballroom and KOKO were quickly followed by a confirmed 2019 tour. This time around Tion Wayne is playing O2 Academy Brixton, with all the tickets snapped up in just three days. The regional dates on the tour followed suit. Now he is set to acquire new fans, solidify his bond at festival sets this summer. The hype train shows no signs of stopping … All aboard!
