Ticketmaster New Music is a carefully curated selection, showcasing artists we are expecting to make waves in the live music scene. Working closely with record labels, live event promoters and talent agents, our in-house experts handpick the most exciting emerging music.

Already a star in her native Denmark, Jada is the stage persona of Emilie Molsted, the Scandinavian singer-songwriter-producer whose debut album I Cry A Lot pushes the definition of a pop album in 2020.

I Cry A Lot is an ambitious kaleidoscopic statement of intent from of one of pop’s great undiscovered pioneers. The album quickly shifts into gear with the Clean Love, a swirling lifting anthem that showcases Jada’s remarkable vocal range and lyrical chops.

Jumping across genres whilst retaining a continuous feel proves to be enthralling. From the I Am… Sasha Fierce Beyonce era-esque slow-jam Keep Cool to the trap-infused 1111, and delicate closer Not Alone, Jada harnesses many influences whilst maintaining her sense of self.

Lonely, a digital dance plea for a lover to stay, is dominated by the infectious “are you going to leave me lonely?” hook, securing streaming numbers of over 4 million on Spotify.

Born and raised in Copenhagen, Jada’s music obsession was harboured by her folksinger and actress mother.

She eventually found her way into electronic music production, making waves with her 2017 self-produced debut single Sure and justifying the hype with follow-up track Keep Cool, both of which also feature on her debut record.

Last year she was won the P3 Talent Award at Denmark’s P3 Gold – the Danish equivalent of the BBC Sound Of… poll – and later in the year took home the Danish Music Award for Best New Artist.

A huge live draw, she’s performed sold-out shows across her home country and is set to appear on the main stage at Roskilde Festival this summer.

Building her fanbase on these shores, Jada comes to the UK in May for her biggest London headline show to date at Colours Hoxton.
