The Great Escape 2025 adds new artists & Peter Doherty spotlight show

New line-up additions are revealed as the showcase event expands with a fourth day of music

The Great Escape, Brighton’s new music mecca, has revealed further 120 plus additions to this year’s line-up, including a renowned name for their first spotlight show.

The Libertines’ Peter Doherty has been announced as the headliner for the festival’s first spotlight show, which takes place on Wednesday 14 May, marking an expansion of the showcase event to four days in May. The singer-songwriter will be joined by Warmduscher and Trampoline for the concert, which will take place at The Deep End rather than the traditional venue in Brighton Dome.

Notable additions across the weekend include Northern Irish rapper Jordan Adetunji, queer avant-popstar Lynks, irreverent Isle Of Wight “jank punk” duo The Pill, hotly-tipped art-punks Man/Woman/Chainsaw, post-disco lothario Donny Benét, indie rockers The K’s, as well as HotWax, Hachiku, Fuzz Lightyear, Clara Mann, Raelle, The Moonlandingz, Mount Palomar, Muroki, Ladylike, Blood Wizard, Sunday (1994), Bria Salmena, and many more.

As expected, there’s a glut of emerging artists hand-picked from around the world set to showcase their talent across Brighton’s many music venues on 14-17 May. With plenty more yet to be revealed too, spanning genres like pop, rock, rap, folk, jazz, R&B, indie, soul, electronic, and everything in-between.
