The 11 best Pussycat Dolls songs

The Pussycat Dolls are back, with Nicole, Ashley and Kimberly reuniting for a UK tour this summer. Get yourself setlist ready with the best PCD tracks

Few girl groups achieved so much in such little time as The Pussycat Dolls. Rising out of the famed Los Angeles neo-burlesque troupe of the same name, Nicole Scherzinger, Ashley Roberts, Kimberley Wyatt, Carmit Bachar, Jessica Sutta and Melody Thornton first burst on to the scene in the mid 2000s.

Fusing pop, electronic, hip-hop and R&B influences, their dance-routine-led anthems – many of which feature in their era-defining music videos – are rightly considered noughties classics. While a reality show and world tour arrived at the peak of their success, the group officially disbanded in 2010, leading several members to launch solo careers (the most successful being Scherzinger, thanks to karaoke favourites like ‘Don’t Hold Your Breath’).

It took another nine years for a reunion, though their planned shows were halted due to the Covid pandemic. Fast forward to 2026, however, and the stars have finally aligned: The Pussycat Dolls have dropped a new banger (‘Club Song’) and the trio of Scherzinger, Roberts and Wyatt are heading on a massive global tour this winter. Amid an ever-growing appetite for nostalgia, their countless singalong smashes are sure to make for an unforgettable show.

Here, we pick the top 11 tracks of the The Pussycat Dolls’ career.

11. ‘Club Song’

The Pussycat Dolls - Club Song

(single, 2026)

An immediate throwback to their original seductive sound, the group’s first single in six years plays like a lost Pussycat Dolls classic. Having tapped some of pop’s current go-to producers and songwriters, including Mike Sabath (RAYEJADE), Caroline Ailin (Dua Lipa) and Solly (Teddy Swims), this suitably strutting start to their new chapter is sure to dominate dancefloors the world over. As comebacks go, it is gold standard.

10. ‘React’

The Pussycat Dolls - React

(single, 2020)

Not only was this the group’s first song in over a decade, ‘React’ marked The Pussycat Dolls’ first independent release. Relishing the freedom, they debuted the fiery hit during a medley performance of their previous singles on The X Factor: Celebrity. The music video – inspired by the 1983 film Flashdance – was a return to form, too, featuring pyrotechnics and water, as well as a trademark chair routine.

9. ‘Wait A Minute’ (with Timbaland)

The Pussycat Dolls - Wait A Minute (Official Music Video) ft. Timbaland

(PCD, 2005)

Landing during a hit-making streak for the song’s producer, Timbaland, the fun fusion of pop and R&B elements resulted in another catchy club hit for The Pussycat Dolls. Co-written with Keri Hilson, the girl vs boy lyrical focus made for a playful battle of the sexes back in the mid 2000s. Its music video was even nominated for a MOBO Award.

8. ‘Beep’ (with will.i.am)

The Pussycat Dolls - Beep (Official Music Video) ft. will.i.am

(PCD, 2005)

With a breathy introduction that’s instantly recognisable, Scherzinger and co dial the flirtation up to new levels as they spar with Black Eyed Peas’ will.i.am, who delivers an equally memorable verse. He’s also responsible for the onomatopoeic machine-noise production.

7. ‘Whatcha Think About That’ (with Missy Elliot)

The Pussycat Dolls - Whatcha Think About That ft. Missy Elliott

(Doll Domination, 2008)

Built on a bhangra-inspired guitar riff, this sharp and empowering team up with one of the biggest hip-hop artists at the time, Missy Elliot, is full of quotable lines. Alongside the chant-like “now if you’re dude ain’t actin’ right, you tell that dude he got to go”, it’s bolstered by a characteristically powerhouse performance from Scherzinger.

6. ‘Jai Ho! (You Are My Destiny)’ with A. R. Rahman

A. R. Rahman, The Pussycat Dolls - Jai Ho (You Are My Destiny) ft. Nicole Scherzinger

(single, 2009)

Synonymous as the soundtrack for the hit film Slumdog Millionaire, The Pussycat Dolls’ English remake of the original Hindi song opened the Bollywood industry up to an entirely new audience. The anthemic result of Scherzinger being tasked with creating a pop record that did not deviate from the original melody, this wedding-party-floorfiller topped the charts in Australia, Finland, Israel, Ireland, Greece, and Portugal. The accompanying music video – a remake of the film’s final scene – brought the two disparate worlds even closer together.

5. ‘I Hate This Part’

The Pussycat Dolls - I Hate This Part (Official Music Video)

(Doll Domination, 2008)

A shower-belter that tugs at the heartstrings from the second it starts, this cathartic tear-jerker is full of emotion. Set upon soft piano keys and drums, The Pussycat Dolls’ acrobatic vocals erupt, before simmering down to channel the cutting reality of a relationship ending. Near the end, Scherzinger – who gets caught in a desert storm in the accompanying music video – lets it all go, ready to start anew.

4. ‘When I Grow Up’

The Pussycat Dolls - When I Grow Up (Official Music Video)

(Doll Domination, 2008)

Originally written for Britney Spears (she turned it down), this tongue-in-cheek banger kicked off the campaign for the group’s second album, ‘Doll Domination’. Analysing ‘When I Grow Up’s confident lyrics in 2026, however, the witty dissection of chasing fame and the perils that come with it feels equally relevant. In an age where the intensity of paparazzi shows no signs of slowing down, lines like “be careful what you wish for cos you just might get it” could easily come from the script for Charli xcx’s celebrity-skewing ’The Moment’.

3. ‘Stickwitu’

The Pussycat Dolls - Stickwitu (Official Music Video) ft. Avant

(PCD, 2005)

Cleverly pivoting away from their choreo-led dance numbers, this melodic R&B ballad showed a different, more vulnerable side to The Pussycat Dolls. In a similar vein to Spice Girls’ ‘2 Become 1’, the Grammy-nominated UK chart-topper helped fans to connect to the group’s individual members.

2. ‘Buttons’

The Pussycat Dolls - Buttons (Official Music Video) ft. Snoop Dogg

(PCD, 2005)

A racy ode to the group’s burlesque roots via Bollywood-esque production flourishes, the fourth single from the group’s debut album, ‘PCD’, was made even more iconic thanks to its music video, which encapsulated their unashamedly sex-positive dance routines. Throw in a verse from rapper Snoop Dogg on the single release version and it went five times platinum – and, last December, surpassed one billion YouTube views.

1. ‘Don’t Cha’ (with Busta Rhymes)

The Pussycat Dolls - Don't Cha (Official Music Video) ft. Busta Rhymes

(PCD, 2005)

Written and produced by CeeLo Green for OutKast’s former back-up singer Tori Alamaze, the incomparably sassy ‘Don’t Cha’ was later offered to Sugababes and Paris Hilton before it finally landed in The Pussycat Dolls’ lap. After the label pivoted from the original, the group’s re-recorded final version – which went on to include rapid-fire bars from Busta Rhymes – became their debut hit. A timeless breakthrough smash, its empowering attitude transformed them from a burlesque act into a global pop phenomenon. Alongside topping the charts in 15 counties, the karaoke classic has since gone five times platinum and remains their biggest song ever in the UK.
