In honour of the Foo Fighters’ latest album release, Sonic Highways, and the announcement that they’re taking to the UK road next year on a tour, we’ve created our very own sonic highway that maps out all the Foos’ biggest UK gigs over the past 19 years.
From epic headline sets at Reading and Leeds Festival to Later with Jools Holland and massive stadium performances, we’ve picked out a few of their UK best and biggest. Check out the map below to read more.
Get on the Sonic Highways
Go on your own Sonic Highway and plot your road to one of the Foo Fighters’ upcoming tours in 2015. The five-piece rock band will be revisiting some of their former UK haunts next May and June, from a two night appearance at London’s Wembley Stadium with support from Iggy Pop and Royal Blood to huge gigs at Sunderland’s Stadium of Light and Manchester’s Emirates Old Trafford.
If you really want to go the distance, head to the Foo’s UK closing gig at Edinburgh’s BT Murrayfield Stadium with Royal Blood, which is only a road trip away and easier to navigate your way to than you might think. Check out our handy directions here.
