Remember Monday reveal Ace Bowerman as creative director behind Eurovision entry

The group gave a live rendition of their song ‘What The Hell Just Happened?’ in London yesterday

Remember Monday, this year’s Eurovision offering from the UK, have announced Ace Bowerman as the creative director behind the live staging of their song ‘What The Hell Just Happened?’

The band – composed of Lauren Byrne, Holly-Anne Hull and Charlotte Steele – gave a live performance of the song at Theatre Royal Drury Lane, afterwards bringing out Bowerman. The creative director and performance designer has worked with the likes of Rina Sawayama, BLACKPINK, Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran and Caroline Polachek, and will be collaborating with the band to stage ‘What The Hell Just Happened?’ for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Switzerland.

“When Ace gave us their idea, we were literally like, ‘Oh my God,’” said Byrne.

“Everything we had ever dreamed and imagined of in our silly brains came to life,” added Hull.

“It’s such an exciting song,” said Bowerman. “The harmonies, the vocals – they’re absolutely undeniable. The friendship here is so real. As soon as I met the girls, I was like, ‘Can I be in the band?’”

The group will be heading to Switzerland for the live final on 17 May. They’ll be the first girl group representing the UK in the contest since Precious in 1999.
