Fetty Wap fans, get excited. The Trap Queen hit-maker will play Birmingham and London this May.
The New Jersey native who took over the global hip hop scene with his banger Trap Queen in 2015 has confirmed he’ll be playing in the UK this May at the 02 Institute Birmingham and Eventim Apollo, London.
Due to his near fatal bike crash at the end of last year, he was unable to play his first British show, so this will be his first time we’ll be seeing Fetty and the Remy Boyz in the UK.
However if you’re unfamiliar with the global phenom that is Fetty Wap here’s a quick breakdown…
Who is he? Real name Willie Maxwell II grew up in Paterson, New Jersey which also produced hip hop stars Redman and Joe Budden. At a young age he was victim to Congenital Glaucoma and lost his left eye which he’s turned into an advantage and a distinctive feature to his persona.
What’s so good about his music? Fetty’s other distinctive feature is his wobbly voice which has helped to propel him to global stardom. Not to forget with Fetty also comes the Remy Boyz which include his good friend Monty who is the perfect accompaniment to Fetty with his clear rapping skills.
For fans of… He’s very individual but Fetty has collaborated with some big names already including Drake, Kid Ink and David Guetta but there’s no doubting that the list is set to grow.
