Playlist: Hear the first lot of Reading and Leeds 2017 bands

The first announcement is here! 11 bands have been confirmed for Reading and Leeds 2017, so we’ve pulled together a track by each to give you a taste of things to come.

Muse have been confirmed as the first of three headliners for the festivals, which will run from the 25 to the 27 August 2017. It marks the third time the Devon rockers take the slot, having done so in 2011 and 2006, and will be their only UK festival appearance of the year.

The line-up will also welcome electronic producers Major Lazer, Bastille, and hip-hop artist Tory Lanez. Recently reunited rockers At The Drive-In make their return, appearing alongside alernative rockers Architects, Against The Current and While She Sleeps. Rising indie outfit Glass Animals have also been confirmed, as well as one of the most celebrated hip-hop artists of the year, Danny Brown.
