PJ Harvey to play at Edinburgh International Festival
She'll play two shows at the Edinburgh Playhouse in August.
PJ Harvey has confirmed two headline shows in Edinburgh as part of next month’s Edinburgh International Festival. She’ll be performing at the Edinburgh Playhouse on the 7 and 8 August 2017.
The English icon remains the only artist to date to win two Mercury Music Prizes, for Stories from the City, Stories from the Sea in 2001, and 2011’s Let England Shake. She most recently released The Hope Six Demolition Project, inspired by her trips to Kosovo, Afghanistan and Washington, DC. The album went to No.1 in the UK charts, as well as bagging a Grammy Award nomination for the best alternative music album.
The Edinburgh International Festival runs from the 4 – 28 August 2017, welcoming the finest creators and performers from the worlds of theatre, music, opera and dance to the beautiful city.
