Photo Diary: Nugent & Belle show us what it’s like to support Robert Plant
Pop folk duo Amy Belle and Audrey Nugent are no strangers to the live stage. They met in the now disbanded The Alice Band, but split soon after.
In the meantime, Audrey wrote with artists like Chris Martin of Coldplay and Tim Wheeler of Ash while Amy was off performing with Rod Stewart at the Royal Albert Hall and signing a record deal with Epic in New York, but it wasn’t long before their paths crossed again and they started to collaborate on a new album called Seeing Stars as Nugent & Belle.
This brilliant little band took to the stage again this week when they supported Led Zeppelin legend Robert Plant for a one-night-only show at The Roundhouse and they showed us what it was like behind the scenes.
En route to pre-show rehearsal yesterday – travelling in style i.e. in a cab – we’re more accustomed to bussing it!
First rehearsal with the boys in 10 months – organised chaos and four hours to showtime!
Now that’s a real goodie for the laminate collection…
An hour to doors – fastest soundcheck in history!
Belle takes a sneaky peek from our dressing room, just before doors open…the calm before the storm…
Twelve minutes to showtime, us and our beautiful band.
Beautiful venue, amazing atmosphere…RP fans were great and made this little band feel very welcome indeed!
Any excuse for an outfit change! Post-show, pre-merch stand mirror piccie
RP weaving his magic…loved his set and what a great band, the SSS..feeling very lucky to have shared the stage with them all.
