As the world looks towards 2021, it’s another huge week for announcements across the world of music, theatre, sport and attractions, including the return of Stepsthe new West End production of Back To The Future: The Musical and unique socially distant events courtesy of The Parking Lot Social.

New in music this week

Three years after having wowed audiences with their comeback tour, pop legends Steps are once again returning to the stage in support of their forthcoming new album What The Future Holds, due on 27 November 2020.

To mark the occasion, the band are gearing up for the release of the title track from the record, penned by mysterious Australian superstar Sia.

“I am such a huge Sia fan,” Lisa Scott-Lee tells The Sun. “Her music is completely up my street, I have so much admiration for her as an artist and a songwriter so I’m in pop heaven.”

Promising a more intimate vibe on the forthcoming full-length, Steps are looking to bring both new and old to the stage come November 2021. The tour dates see them return to huge stadiums across the country, including London’s The O2.

“I know it’s been such a tough time for everybody all over the world, but I do think it’s time to smile again and Steps are very good at that,” Lisa continues in the interview. “We’re going to be sprinkling some happiness.”

Steps will be joined by Sophie Ellis-Bexter on all dates.

Chef James Martin has also announced a very special virtual cooking class, offering audiences the opportunity to cook a three-course meal with support by the renowned culinary master.

Martin, famed for his decade-long hosting duties on Saturday Kitchen, will be leading the masterclass on Saturday 3 October 2020.

Strictly Come Dancing professionals and siblings Kevin and Joanne Clifton will also be touring across the UK for a socially distanced audience from 29 October until 22 November 2020.
