Our weekly round up of this week's biggest new tours, shows and events.
As the world looks towards 2021, it’s another huge week for announcements across the world of music, theatre, sport and attractions, including the return of Steps, the new West End production of Back To The Future: The Musical and unique socially distant events courtesy of The Parking Lot Social.
Three years after having wowed audiences with their comeback tour, pop legends Steps are once again returning to the stage in support of their forthcoming new album What The Future Holds, due on 27 November 2020.
To mark the occasion, the band are gearing up for the release of the title track from the record, penned by mysterious Australian superstar Sia.
“I am such a huge Sia fan,” Lisa Scott-Lee tells The Sun. “Her music is completely up my street, I have so much admiration for her as an artist and a songwriter so I’m in pop heaven.”
Promising a more intimate vibe on the forthcoming full-length, Steps are looking to bring both new and old to the stage come November 2021. The tour dates see them return to huge stadiums across the country, including London’s The O2.
“I know it’s been such a tough time for everybody all over the world, but I do think it’s time to smile again and Steps are very good at that,” Lisa continues in the interview. “We’re going to be sprinkling some happiness.”
Steps will be joined by Sophie Ellis-Bexter on all dates.

Scottish breakthrough artist Gerry Cinnamon will headline the newly added date, joined by Circa Waves, The Zutons, Jade Bird and Orla Gartland.
Neighbourhood Weekender will also see headline performances by Ian Brown and Catfish & The Bottlemen at the start of next summer, bringing some of the biggest and best artists to Victoria Park in Warrington.
Coventry ska and 2-Tone pioneers The Specials will celebrate last year’s new album Encore with headline dates from 31 August to 17 September 2021.
BRIT Rising Star nominee Beabadoobee will headline across the UK from September into October 2021, supporting her recently announced debut album Fake It Flowers. The Dirty Hit signee recently became a top ten mainstay with her Powfu collaboration, Death Bed (Coffee For Your Head).
Swedish progressive metal titans Opeth celebrate both their native and English language versions of In Cauda Venenum with a very special headline appearance at London’s Eventim Apollo on 16 October 2021. The show will see them perform a setlist selected by fans who are asked to choose one song from each of the band’s past albums to hear live.
UK No.1 rapper Nines cements his rise from North London to national domination with headline dates from 2 – 9 May 2021, including a hometown show at London’s O2 Academy Brixton. At the time of announcing, Nines sits atop the album chart with his sophomore studio album Crabs In A Bucket.
The West End is preparing to welcome Back To The Future: The Musical. Based on the 1985 film of the same name and adapted by co-creators Bob Gale and Robert Zemeckis, the musical will open at London’s Adelphi Theatre on 14 May 2021, booking until 26 September.
Chef James Martin has also announced a very special virtual cooking class, offering audiences the opportunity to cook a three-course meal with support by the renowned culinary master.
Martin, famed for his decade-long hosting duties on Saturday Kitchen, will be leading the masterclass on Saturday 3 October 2020.
Strictly Come Dancing professionals and siblings Kevin and Joanne Clifton will also be touring across the UK for a socially distanced audience from 29 October until 22 November 2020.
The pair will deliver an intimate performance of music from their CD, tell stories of their dancing adventures, and perform ballroom and Latin dances with their favourite dance partners.
The An Evening With Kevin & Joanne Clifton tour marks a rare opportunity to catch the duo together due to future scheduling conflicts.
