New in music this week

Announcing the release of their sixth studio album Confetti, Little Mix have confirmed a run of huge headline dates across the UK for May 2021. Taking to ten cities across England, Wales and Scotland, the dates include two nights at London’s vast The O2.

The band dominated airwaves across the summer with their anthemic Holiday, the second track to be taken from the record following Break Up Song earlier in the year.

Experimental electronic pioneer Roisin Murphy has announced a headline show at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on 19 September 2021. The news comes as the former Moloko vocalist prepares for the release of her latest studio album, Roisin Machine. Tickets are available from 10:00 on Friday 25 September 2020. [Find tickets]

Following the release of their acclaimed Women In Music Pt. III, HAIM have added a further date to their 2021 headline run, now also taking to Leeds on 24 June. Tickets are available through general sale from 9:00 on Friday 25 September 2020. [Find tickets]

Ireland’s veteran musicians Clannad have confirmed further headline shows for 2021, now also taking to York, Edinburgh, Stoke and Cambridge in March. Tickets are available from 9:00 on Friday 25 September 2020. [Find tickets]

Solo pop star and electronic collaborator Becky Hill has announced a combination of new and rescheduled dates, now touring across the UK in May and June 2021. The dates come as Hill hints at a debut studio album, the follow-up to her compilation release Get To Know…. Melodic rockers You Me At Six are back with new single Beautiful Way and news about their seventh studio album Suckapunch. To mark the occasion, the band have announced headline shows for May 2021. Tickets for the shows will be available from 9:00 on Friday 2 October 2020. [Find tickets]


New in theatre this week

The Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre production of Carousel has been rescheduled to 2021, now running from 31 July – 18 September. Featuring classics such as If I Loved You, Mister Snow, You’ll Never Walk Alone and June Is Bustin’ Out All Over, the musical tells the tale of troubled lovebirds Julie Jordan and Billy Bigelow. The latest London production sees director Timothy Sheader reunited with celebrated choreographer Drew McOnie. Original tickets remain valid, with remaining tickets available now. [Find tickets]

Rodgers & Hammerstein's CAROUSEL | Through Time and History | Narrated by Laurence Maslon

Strictly Come Dancing professional favourites Anton Du Beke and Giovanni Pernice have added further dates to their Him & Me tour, now also performing at Tunbridge Wells, Plymouth, Swindon and Reading in July 2021. New in comedy this week

TV host and veteran comedian Jimmy Carr has announced a series of socially distanced shows at London’s Palace Theatre from 16 – 21 November 2020. Alongside his celebrated stand-up, Carr is perhaps best known for his hosting duties on 8 Out Of 10 Cats, 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown and Big Fat Quiz Of The Year. Mo Gilligan has added an extra London date to his 2021 tour, now also appearing at the iconic Eventim Apollo Hammersmith on Saturday 23 October 2021. Tickets are available from 10:00 on Friday 25 September 2020. [Find tickets]
