New Music Friday: Metallica, Bruno Mars and more release new albums
It’s our favourite time of the week – New Music Friday is the new tunes fix you need to get your weekend started. This week we’ll be listening to Metallica, Bruno Mars, Miranda Lambert and more.
What’s even better about New Music Friday is that you can also listen to a lot of the new releases live! We’ve found the artists who’ve got new records out and are about to take them on tour. Double win!
Metallica – Hardwired… To Self-Destruct
Okay, Metallica aren’t about to head on tour (as much as we wish they would), but their new album is too good to leave out of this list. It’s out today so get your hands on the vinyl or CD now.
Bruno Mars – 24k Magic
Back with his first studio album since 2012’s Unorthodox Jukebox and what’s even better Bruno Mars will be on tour next year across Europe. None other than Halle Berry lends her guest vocals to smooth tune Calling All My Lovelies. Tickets for the 24k Magic tour are on sale on Monday via Ticketmaster.co.uk.
Miranda Lambert – The Weight Of These Wings
Country music’s sweetheart Miranda Lambert showcases her incredible songwriting skills and what it’s like putting yourself back together after heartbreak. We love the duality of her new double album The Weight of These Wings with one side called The Nerve and the other one named The Heart. Listen to it now to bridge the time until her big UK tour next summer. Don’t miss out on tickets and book them here.
Little Mix – Glory Days
Attention Mixers! Your girls have a new record out today and it’s glory-ous. Perrie, Leigh-Anne, Jesy and Jade knew exactly what they wanted the album to sound like and it’s killer chart-pop. Of course it also includes #1 single Shout Out To My Ex. There’s still a few remaining tickets for the girls’ huge 2017 tour via Ticketmaster.co.uk.
ICYMI: recent releases

And don’t forget, their final world tour is happening next summer, last tickets are on sale now via Ticketmaster.co.uk.
Emeli Sande – Long Live The Angels
Scottish recording artist Emeli Sande unleashed her second studio album Long Live The Angels just last week. The 18-track deluxe versions is full of powerful tunes about love. Four years after her debut album, Emeli finally returns with what promises to be a chart-topping record. Get your hands on a copy right here, and why not treat yourself to tickets for Emeli’s band new tour as well via Ticketmaster.co.uk.
Avenged Sevenfold – The Stage
#MetalDay is here! And what better way to celebrate than with Avenged Sevenfold’s surprise album The Stage?! It was long rumoured for release but finally, last month, the band shared the good news via twitter. If you haven’t listened to it yet, you definitely should! Grab a Vinyl (out 2 Dec) or CD copy of the album and don’t forget the lads are heading on a UK tour early next year with Disturbed and In Flames. Last remaining tickets left on Ticketmaster.co.uk.
