Everything about Downton Abbey Live
Jim Carter is to host the very special event.
Actor Jim Carter, in character as Mr Carson, will host Downton Abbey Live at Highclere Castle on 22 June 2019.
Taking place in the unique venue’s stunning grounds, the event will welcome the show’s composer John Lunn on piano, joined by The Chamber Orchestra of London.
Highclere Castle in Berkshire is famous as the setting for internationally acclaimed hit TV show Downton Abbey, which first launched on screens in 2010.
The show follows the happenings in the ancestral home of the Crawleys, with stories from both upstairs and downstairs.
The evening will see Mr Carson delve into the characters, stories and events that shaped Downton Abbey, from family and friends, to VIPs and the house staff members.
The orchestra will play songs from the iconic TV show, accompanying clips and montages from across the series’ six seasons.
Special guest singers will also be on hand for the likes of I’ll Count The Days and If You Were The Only Girl In The World.
