We’re delighted to announce that Ticketmaster will be sponsoring the Best Live Act award at the Golden Gods. But who should be crowned champion? We give you the rundown of the nominees here, it’s a hell of a list to choose from:
Dillinger Escape Plan
Their 2002 appearance at Reading and Leeds, when lead singer Greg Puciato defecated live on stage and threw the remains into the crowd, is still stuff of legend. So intense they just don’t to leave stages intact.
Metal’s favourite ravers, nearly 25 years into their career The Prodigy are still one of the most exiting live bands around. Headliners of this year’s Sonisphere alongside Metallica and Iron Maiden, that’s not bad company to be in is it?
Five Finger Death Punch
One of the great American metal bands, their live shows have received a staggering average rating of 4.7 out of 5 from your reviews on the Ticketmaster website. The energy and vibe they bring to their live shows is second to none. ‘This is the best gig I have been at for a long, long time’ –DadG commenting on their Glasgow show from earlier this year.
With Jesse Leach having returned to the fold, the Killswitch Engage live experience over the past 12 months has been second to none as they’ve cemented their reputation as one of the biggest metal bands around. Their main stage slot at this year’s Download is not too be missed.
With a huge cult following, Aussie’s Karnivool are considered by many to have redifinised modern prog rock, an unstoppable force live and on record.
