Mariah Carey announces London residency

Pop superstar Mariah Carey is coming to Royal Albert Hall for three nights in May.

As part of her Caution World Tour, Mariah Carey will take to the stage at the iconic Royal Albert Hall this May for an intimate three-night residency that will let her fans get up close and personal with the star.

The Caution World Tour kicks off in the US and Canada this month and comes in support of her critically acclaimed 15th studio album, Caution, which features lead singles GTFO, With You and A No No.

The Royal Albert Hall shows on 25, 26 and 27 May are a rare opportunity for fans to see Carey perform live in the capital, and her first non-festive shows in years.

As the bestselling female artist of all time, Carey has sold more than 200 million records to date as well as scoring two UK No.1s, 24 UK top 10s and a record-breaking 18 Billboard Hot 100 No.1 singles including songs such as We Belong TogetherHeartbreaker, Hero and Touch My Body. The record makes her the biggest-selling artist with the most No.1s for any solo artist.

One of her biggest song is the timeless, evergreen All I Want for Christmas Is You, written and produced by Carey, which continues the climb the charts every winter.

Her distinctive five-octave range and her ability to write hit after hit has made her part of the definitive modern-day pop star elite. Her voice and talent have been recognised with five Grammy Award wins (having been nominated for a whopping 34) and 21 American Music Awards. She’s also received awards celebrating her achievements and the longevity of her career, such as the World Music Award for World’s Best-Selling Female Artist of the Millennium and Billboard’s Artist of the Decade Award.

Her back-catalogue includes the highly influential Music Box and Rainbow albums, among many others, spawning such huge hits as Honey, Hero and her cover of Badfinger’s Without You.

Other singles include We Belong Together, Against All Odds featuring Westlife, Touch My Body, Vision Of Love, Fantasy and When you Believe alongside Whitney Houston.
