The Maccabees announce split after 14 years as a band
The Maccabees have confirmed plans to split, having posted an emotional message to fans on Facebook this morning.
In the official statement, the indie rockers from London said, “After 14 years as a band we have decided to call it a day.” Continuing on to say, “We are very proud to be able to go out on our own terms, at our creative peak and off the back of the best and biggest shows we have ever done.”
The band went on to thank fans for the ‘countless good times’.
