Watch Metallica in session for BBC Radio 1

After 35 years as a band, Metallica headed to BBC Radio 1 for their first session at the legendary Maida Vale studios.

Following the release of their celebrated Hardwired… To Self Destruct album in November last year, Metallica headed down to the BBC Radio 1 Maida Vale studios for their first ever session for the broadcasting giant.

Hosted by Daniel P Carter – the voice of rock at Radio 1 – the band performed five tracks from their new album and old, and had a chat about their rock legacy.
