Organisers for Liverpool’s weekend party Fusion have announced more acts for this year’s event. Earlier this year the festival, which is set for 1 – 2 September, confirmed it will be headlined by two international superstars – French producer/DJ David Guetta on Saturday and Canadian pop heartthrob Shawn Mendes on Sunday.

Today’s announced acts also join the already confirmed Jess Glynne, Clean Bandit, Disciples, Sigala, MNEK, Years & Years, James Arthur, Zara Larsson, Jax Jones and Louisa Johnson.

The latest announcement welcomes Raye, Becky Hill, Yungen, Ally Brooke, Grace Carter and a very special appearance by The Vamps.

Over his career Saturday headliner David Guetta has sold a staggering 1.3 million albums and racked up six No.1 singles. He’s also released collaborations with superstars including Justin Bieber, Rihanna and Usher. Guetta’s sixth album, Listen, came out over three years ago, and he promises a seventh is on its way. In the meantime, he released a new song last November, a mega-collaboration called Dirty Sexy Money with Afrojack featuring vocals from Charli XCX and French Montana.

“I can’t wait to perform at Fusion for the first time,” says Guetta about the upcoming festival. “The line-up is awesome and I’m honoured to be part of it.”

Sunday headliner Shawn Mendes has become one of Canada’s most prominent singer-songwriters thanks to huge hits like Mercy and There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back. In 2012 Mendes went from regular schoolboy to pop music’s hottest up-and-comer after a Vine clip of him doing a Justin Bieber cover went viral. When Mendes released his debut album, Handwritten, in 2015 it debuted at No.1 in the US and Canada. And last year, at the age of only 18, he sold out his first world tour in minutes.

Since 2016, Fusion has been held at Otterspool Promenade, the stunning walk alongside the river Mersey.

With radio station Capital Liverpool on board again as an official partner for the festival, don’t miss out on another unforgettable celebration of pop’s finest sounds.
