Interview: The Interrupters on the power of music
The ska-punk band return to the UK for headline shows in early 2020.
LA based ska-punk outfit The Interrupters are set to return to the UK for headline shows in January and February 2020, following a recent acclaimed appearance at Download Festival 2019.
Comprising vocalist Aimee Interrupter, guitarist Kevin Bivona, bassist Justin Bivona and drummer Jesse Bivona, the band kick off their tour on 27 January 2020 in Cardiff, and run until London’s O2 Forum Kentish Town on 7 February 2020.
Chatting backstage at Download Festival, Aimee and Kevin discuss the importance of inclusivity and family, and the power of music, as well as offering an insight into things to come. Watch the interview in full above.
The Interrupters released their third studio album, Fight The Good Fight, last year through Hellcat Records. They first dropped their self-titled debut in 2014, followed by Say It Out Loud two years later.
Their most successful album to date, Fight The Good Fight reached No.2 on the stateside independent album chart, as well as entering the official Billboard 200.
