Hogeschool Van Amsterdam visits Ticketmaster International HQ
On 23 September, we welcomed 30 students from the Hogeschool Van Amsterdam (Amsterdam University of Applied Science) to TM International HQ in Angel to gain an insider’s view into the world of ticketing.
The Hogeschool Van Amsterdam offers specialist courses including International Sports Management & Business, so students were issued with a commemorative ticket to see Chris Edmonds, Chairman of Ticketmaster UK & Executive Vice President – International Strategic Partnerships, present his insight into big event ticketing: ‘How to manage an audience of 10 million fans’.
Making full use of the venue, (every single student opted to enter via the slide!) our visitors enjoyed coffee and doughnuts in our very own Imperial bar before Chris took them through some of his extensive experiences in the complex world of ticketing, from the 2012 Olympics to the cancellation of Michael Jackson’s final tour.
After hearing first-hand what goes into such huge-scale events, students and teachers alike had a chance to meet other senior figures from Ticketmaster, and to ask any outstanding questions about the industry, before bidding us farewell to continue their exploration of London.
We wish all the students good luck in their studies and look forward to working with them in the future!
