The One Directioner is back and all grown up.
Harry Styles has perhaps just dropped the biggest recent homage to David Bowie. Sign Of The Times, a soaring theatrical track, sounds like something released by the late master of music.
The comparison is fair too, seeing as Styles’ song is genuinely brilliant.
He’s worked with writer and producer Jeff Bhasker, the man behind (at least in part) Uptown Funk and Fun’s infectious We Are Young. This one might not have the same upbeat factor, but it’s still destined to get stuck in your head.
The video, yet to drop, looks set to be something special too. Here he is dangerously dangling from a helicopter. Just the everyday antics of one of the most recognisable faces in music.

There’s a lot to be taken from Sign Of The Times. “We don’t talk enough,” Styles sings in one of the song’s many verses (it’s over five minutes long this one, making it longer than any One Direction song, ever). If anything is going to get people talking, it’ll be this one.
