Five huge shows to get excited about in 2014

Beyonce
Beyonce surprised everyone when she dropped her fifth studio album at the end of 2013 without any notice. In 2014 she’ll be showcasing it in the UK for the very first time as part of her Mrs Carter World Tour – which includes four nights at The O2 in London and three nights at The 02 in Dublin.

Arctic Monkeys
The Sheffield outfit are following up their huge 2013 UK tour with two equally huge shows at London’s Finsbury Park in May. Over the two days the band will play to around 100,000 fans and will be supported by Australian psychedelics Tame Impala and close friend Miles Kane.

Neil Young and The National
As part of the Barclaycard British Summer Time series at Hyde Park, rock legend Neil Young will perform his only confirmed UK show of 2014. On the day he’ll be supported by indie royalty The National, Caitlin Rose and Phosphorescent.

Arcade Fire
The Canadian band’s fourth studio LP Reflektor is currently riding high in many end of year lists, and they’ll be bringing it to the UK next summer for a huge one-off show at London’s Earls Court on June 6.

Monty Python
The surviving members of legendary comedy group Monty Python will perform six shows at the 02 Arena in London next July. Such was demand for their first live gig in England for 40 years, tickets for the first night sold out in just over 40 seconds.
