Black Gold is the forthcoming best of album from the Birmingham-formed rockers.
The album will contain 13 tracks taken from Editors’ six studio albums, alongside three brand new tunes: Upside Down, Frankenstein and the album’s title track Black Gold.
The three new songs were produced by the Grammy Award-winning Garrett “Jacknife” Lee (U2, Snow Patrol, REM, The Killers), who also produced Editors’ sophomore album An End Has a Start. Watch the official video for Frankenstein below:
Editors first broke through in 2005 with their debut album The Back Room. The LP was a commercial and critical success and earned the band a nomination for the prestigious Mercury Prize.

Some of the band’s best-known tracks include Bullets, Munich, Papillon, An End Has A Start and Smokers Outside The Hospital Doors, all of which appear on their upcoming best of album.
