Don Broco: O2 Academy Brixton gig is a “real milestone that stuff is going well”
It’s a busy week in the Don Broco camp, with the UK rockers’ second album, Automatic, released TOMORROW (Friday 7 August).
The Bedford boys have headed out on a week-long UK tour to support the new record, and follow up to 2012’s Priorities, including a hometown show on the eve of its release.
As well as a spot at Reading and Leeds Festival 2015, the foursome will headline O2 Academy Brixton on 13 December; making it their biggest ever headline show in the UK to date.
“We’re really excited about Brixton,” guitarist Simon Delaney told us, “We were little kids going to shows there and it always felt like ‘wow these guys must be massive’.
“It’s always had significance, in our heads at least, of a real milestone that stuff is going well.”
“We can’t wait to play it, it’s got so much heritage,” he added, “We’ve seen so many of our favourite bands there even recently, it just seems to have a sort of aura around it; there’s something special about that building that makes shows pretty magical.”
We. Can’t. Wait.
