Charli XCX played a major set at Coachella this weekend, with plenty of A-list friends in attendance. Officially reviving Brat Summer, the pop star turned the main stage into a club on the festival’s Saturday night, giving us a taste of what’s to come when she headlines Parklife in Manchester this June.

Early in the set, Troye Sivan joined Charli XCX to perform their remix of ‘Talk Talk’, marking a mini Sweat tour reunion. Following him came Lorde, who picked up a mic to join Charli on ‘Girl, So Confusing’ – the two famously ‘worked in out on the remix’ when their duet dropped last summer. Finally, Charli welcomed Billie Eilish to the stage for a remix of ‘Guess’, their wildly successful, tongue-in-cheek collaboration.

Elsewhere across the festival’s first weekend, Lady Gaga guided the crowd into her gothic fantasyland with a headline set on Friday night, Bernie Sanders made a surprise appearance introducing Clairo, Benson Boone brought out Brian May to play guitar for him whilst he covered ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’, and Ty Dolla Sign invited YG, Blxst, Tyga, Wiz Khalifa and Leon Thomas onto his prison yard set.
