Legendary funk artist Chaka Khan will join Chic featuring Nile Rodgers at this year’s BluesFest. Taking place at London’s O2 on the 27 October 2017, the multi-award winning Khan will play as part of the three day festival which takes over the vast South East London venue.
Chaka Khan emerged onto the scene as part of Rufus in the 1970s, before the queen of funk went it alone, launching a solo career with I’m Every Woman in 1978.
The announcement comes after gold-disc-winning singer-songwriter Jack Savoretti is confirmed to play indigo @ The O2 the same day.
The BluesFest link-up now looks like this, with individual tickets available for each show:
Friday 27 October
The O2: CHIC feat. Nile Ridgers | Chaka Khan
indigo @ The O2: Jack Savoretti
Saturday 28 October
The O2: Daryl Hall and John Oates | Chris Isaak
indigo @ The O2: Gov’t Mule & Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band
Sunday 29 October
The O2: Steely Dan | The Doobie Brothers
Tickets are available through Ticketmaster.co.uk, with Jack Savoretti tickets available from Friday 21 July at 9:00.
