Céline Dion marks return to music with ten Paris shows in autumn 2026
Following a difficult few years, the Canadian star announced her come back with the words "Paris, I am ready" emblazoned on the Eiffel Tower
On the day of her 58th birthday, the Canadian “Queen of Power Ballads” Céline Dion has announced a whopping 10 show residency at Paris La Défense Arena this autumn.
The news will be welcome to fans around the world following her diagnosis of stiff person syndrome (SPS), a rare neurological disease which forced her to cancel world tour dates in 2022 and 2023. This also came after her Courage tour had to be cut short due to Covid in 2020.
In an Instagram post announcing the shows, the singer told fans that she’s singing again and even doing a little dancing. “I’m so ready to do this,” she says. “I’m feeling good, I’m strong, feeling excited. A little nervous, but most of all I am grateful to all of you. I can’t wait to see you again.” The message “Paris, je suis prête” (Paris, I am ready) appeared on the Eiffel Tower on Monday evening. Dion had previously sung from the world famous tour, performing Edith Piaf’s ‘Hymne à l’Amour’ for the 2024 Paris Olympic Opening Ceremony.
Dion kicks off her residency at Paris La Défense Arena on Saturday 12 September, with further shows each Wednesday and Saturday until closing on Wednesday 14 October.
