Bullet For My Valentine lead triple threat metal bill in the UK this week
Bullet For My Valentine kicked off their 2015 Venom tour in the UK this week and from what we’ve seen so far, it’s up there with their most thrilling live shows to date.
Fans of all things metal and melodic hardcore can rejoice, as BFMV’s latest tour includes welcome additions in While She Sleeps and Coldain.
That’s one noisy night out.
Coldrain are used to headlining arenas on home turf in Japan but since releasing 2014’s The Revelation in the UK, they’re been kicking up a similar kind of pace with support slots of this size. Blending post-hardcore qualities with arena-ready rock, their polished and explosive style is more than deserving of a spot on this tour.
Sheffield metallers While She Sleeps look to be getting comfortable in the arenas too. More accustomed to smaller, sweaty club shows, the lively bunch haven’t stopped since their 2015 album, Brainwashed, dropped.
Expect frontman Loz to be diving headfirst into the crowd and climbing the nearest pillar in sight, while the rest of the band do much the same in the most interminable way possible.
With their 2015 full-length, Venom, landing at No.3 in the Official Album Chart, Bullet For My Valentine are as likely to be seen in NME as Metal Hammer these days. But on the surface, the ability to bag radio play and Top 10 chart positions has only made their riffs more righteous. Despite success in the mainstream, BFMV’s commitment to making good, honest metal music hasn’t really changed.
The Venom tour sees them lay it all out in venues across the UK and with the absence of any major London show on this run, their focus turns to some of the other cities and venues that have helped shaped their career to date.
Should be fun? Just a little.
Grab your air guitar and get your riff face ready, Bullet For My Valentine’s Venom tour is coming to a city near you this month.
