Bonnie Tyler has confirmed her first London headline show in over four years.

The one-off performance will see the star headline the London Palladium on Wednesday 18 September 2019.

Wales-born Tyler first broke through in the music industry in the late ’70s with a succession of records released through RCA. However, it would prove to be her switch to rival label Columbia Records which would earn the singer her first mainstream success in the UK.

The singer released the album Faster Than the Speed of Night in 1983 to huge critical acclaim and commercial success. The album peaked at No.1 on the Official UK Albums Chart and at No.4 on the US equivalent, positioning Tyler as one of the biggest pop stars on the planet.  The album spawned the huge hit single Total Eclipse of The Heart.

Alongside Total Eclipse of The Heart, the singer is also well known for hit songs such as Lost In France, It’s A Heartache and Holding Out For A Hero, which appeared on the soundtrack to the 1984 film Footloose.

Since Faster Than the Speed of Night, Tyler has gone on to release 11 more studio albums and is currently preparing for the release of her upcoming 17th record Between the Earth and the Stars. The new LP, which is due for release on 15 March 2019, features songs written by the legendary Barry Gibb and Amy Wadge, who co-wrote Ed Sheeran’s mega-hit Thinking Out Loud.

The new album will also feature guest appearances from Frances Rossi OBE, Sir Rod Stewart and Sir Cliff Richard. In February, Tyler released the first single from the album. Watch the official video for Hold On below:
