Big Scary Monsters label confirm pop-up live shows
A load of exciting bands will stop by the Big Scary Monsters’ pop-up shop for in-store acoustic performances.
The list of bands playing the Big Scary Monsters pop-up shop, set to open on the 23 January 2017 at Hackney Downs Studios in London, has been confirmed.
It will see some incredible bands, most of which are touring across the UK, stop by for some stripped back, intimate acoustic performances.
The shop marks 16 years of the influential British record label, which started back in 2001, and has since released music by the likes of Pulled Apart By Horses, Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly, and Andrew W.K.
Among it’s line-up, the in-store performances will welcome Modern Baseball on the 25 January 2017 as they prepare for live dates next month, and Beach Slang on the 26 January with free entry to those with a ticket to their show at the Scala that evening.
It will also host Kevin Devine as he plays live shows in the UK, and Tiny Moving Parts as they serve cocktails during their support for The Wonder Years on the road.
There will also be a ‘Dog Day’ on the 29 January. The description pretty much says it all: “All dogs welcome. Free treats and toys available. BSM dog shirts on sale. Who doesn’t want to pet a puppy whilst buying vinyl?!”
The shop is open between 23 January and 4 February 2017, 12:00 – 19:00 every day. It can be found at 17 Amhurst Terrace, London E8 2BT. Nearest stations are Rectory Road, Hackney Downs, Dalston Kingsland or Dalston Junction.
