50 Cent announces three UK dates
The American rapper will be doing an arena tour as Get Rich or Die Tryin’ turns 15.
One of the most revered names in hip hop, 50 Cent, is heading to the UK in September to do a tour of three of the UK’s most prestigious arenas. The tour will be celebrating 15 years since the release of Get Rich or Die Tryin’. It’s the record that took him from the streets of South Jamaica, Queens to one of hip hops giants.
Since the album was released it has gone six times platinum and has sold over 10 million copies worldwide. Produced by Dr Dre and Eminem, Get Rich or Die Tryin’ was beloved by hip hop fans around the world and adapted into a film about the life and early struggles as a drug dealer and gangster in Queens, New York.
The success of the album speaks for itself and 50 Cent’s other albums – The Massacre, Curtis, Bullet Proof and more – have only added to his worldwide success. Fans can expect to hear tracks from throughout Curtis Jackson’s (aka 50 Cent) illustrious career at the arena shows this year.
Here are his UK dates:
18 September 2018 – Arena Birmingham, Birmingham
20 September 2018 – The O2 Arena, London
21 September 2018 – Manchester Arena, Manchester
This short tour is unmissable for hip hop fans around the UK as 50 will be looking to shutdown these arenas like no one has ever done before because as 50 himself says, “If I can’t do it, homie it can’t be done”.
