We're taking you inside the homes of some of our favourite stars to raise money for vital charities.
Demi Lovato was the musical star at Newmarket Racecourse last Saturday and Minimaster Bethany was there to see her perform live as well as to witness all the horse racing action! She shares her experience from race day which saw her also meet famous jockey Frankie Dettori.
On Saturday 9 June, I went to Newmarket racecourse to see horse racing and Demi Lovato along with my mum, my dad and my friend, Olivia. When we arrived, we skipped the first race because we were too late so we got ready to watch the horses that were going to be in the next race.
My mum and dad both placed bets on the horses that they thought would win. My dad didn’t get much of his money back (he wasn’t good at choosing winners, let’s put it that way), but my mum pretty much won every race, so she was crawling in money.
By the time the races were over, my friend (Olivia) and I just picked a horse we would cheer on most of the time. I picked the frisky ones that had to be taken out of the ring, but Olivia just picked the horse that she liked. Sometimes mine won, but I didn’t get anything. Instead, my mum was kind enough to give me and Olivia some of her money – really nice mum!
So after the races were done, we headed to the grounds where Demi Lovato was performing, but as we were Minimasters, we got VIP tickets!
This allowed everyone to stand on the higher platform so we could see everything. Demi Lovato was amazing, and we even got to meet the famous jockey, Frankie Dettori, who was really nice.
We would give this trip five stars out of five stars!
A whole host of music artists will be performing at Newmarket Racecourse throughout the summer. Tickets are on sale now via Ticketmaster.co.uk.
