Manchester’s biggest dance music event, Warehouse Project, returns to the city from September through to December, bringing dozens of the biggest names in dance music to Depot Mayfield.
With more than a dozen club nights, each packed with a diverse and exciting line-up, it’s an overwhelming task to select which events will see you joining the city’s big dance. Fortunately, we’re here to break it down for you.
From old-school pioneers and established talent to recent risers in house, techno, garage, and drum and bass, here’s a rundown of what and who you can expect to see across WHP 2025.
The Headliners
DJ HEARTSTRING
Concourse only, Depot Mayfield, Friday 12 September
With their signature TDM sound (that’s Trance Dance Music, in case you didn’t know), Berlin-based duo DJ HEARTSTRING have very quickly become one of the most popular names in the European club and festival scene. With fast-paced bangers that balance melancholy and euphoria while bringing a touch of pop to the dancefloor, their edits of noughties classics have made them a crossover success story. Having been hosting their own Teenage Dreams club night for several years now, this Warehouse Project takeover is sure to be a real love-in.
D.O.D
Concourse only, Depot Mayfield, Saturday 13 September
From the soaring success of BRIT-nominated ‘Somedays’ with Sonny Fodera and Jazzy, which landed in the top five of the UK Official Top 40, to the top 20 smash ‘So Much In Love,’ and breakout hit ‘Still Sleepless,’ producer and DJ D.O.D has been on a winning streak. Expect to hear all these bangers – and plenty more – when he plays Warehouse Project.
FISHER
Depot Mayfield, The Warehouse Project, Saturday 20 September
Fun is at the heart of all things FISHER. The Australian tech-house producer isn’t afraid to be silly, which is extremely refreshing in an industry so often built on pretenses. The former surfer has bangers by the bucketload, including breakout smash ‘Losing It’ which was certified platinum in his home country and nominated for Best Dance Recording at the Grammys. He’s been riding the wave ever since, amassing a sea of fans and dominating clubs and festivals along the way.
MK
Defected & Glitterbox, Depot Mayfield, Saturday 11 October
Fresh from the success of his and vocalist Chrystal’s chart-topping anthem ‘Dior’, dance music’s first superstar, MK, will once again bring his piano-house heaters to Warehouse Project. With three billion worldwide streams across his remixes and originals, the Detroit DJ and producer – real name Mark Kinchen – has no shortage of club hits up his sleeve.
The Pioneers
Kerri Chandler
You&Me 10th Birthday, Depot Mayfield, Saturday 27 September
Widely considered to be one of the chief innovators in the deep house genre, Kerri Chandler has grown a reputation for playing marathon sets that showcase his technical ability and impeccable selections. Beyond his bread and butter of house, expect to hear elements of soul, jazz and funk. There’s a reason this world-class DJ and producer has earned the affectionate nickname ‘the Stevie Wonder of House music’.
The Shapeshifters
Defected & Glitterbox, Depot Mayfield, Saturday 11 October
Who doesn’t know ‘Lola’s Theme’, The Shapeshifters’ debut song that became a global anthem in 2003? Having since become embedded in house music history, the duo – now a solo act – have brought their bangers to festivals and clubs all around the world. And with a new album, Let Loose, having already hit 16 million streams on Glitterbox Recordings, it makes sense that he’s set to play Concourse as part of the label and party’s WHP takeover.
Leftfield
WHP25 Halloween – Warehouse Banger, Depot Mayfield, Friday 31 October
A rare chance to witness one of the most influential and innovative dance music acts of all time, Leftfield are sure to deliver a career-spanning show that will thrill fans who have been with them since the beginning. There’ll be cuts from seminal albums Leftism (1995) and Rhythm & Stealth (1999), which solidified the group’s position as true pioneers. And, having released a new album in 2022, This Is What We Do, they remain as relevant as ever.
Masters At Work
The Haçienda, Depot Mayfield, Saturday 22 November
An opportunity to witness one of the most influential names in the history of house music doing what they do best, the New York duo – aka production and remix team ‘Little’ Louie Vega and Kenny ‘Dope’ Gonzalez – are sure to give a masterclass in working the dancefloor. Simply unmissable.
Live vibes
Confidence Man
Confidence Man, Depot Mayfield, Friday 24 October
Aussie party-starters Confidence Man are taking over WHP for the first time, and bringing a full-throttle line-up (including Sofia Kourtesis and Romy) with them. As a group who are known for delivering the dance-heavy goods, their incredibly fun live shows are in high demand for good reason. Expect energetic choreo, theatrical moments and tongue-in-cheek choruses from the electro-pop outfit, which consists of vocalists Janet Planet and Sugar Bones, and intriguingly masked instrumentalists Clarence McGuffie and Reggie Goodchild. Missing out is not an option.
Aitch
Aitch, Depot Mayfield, Wednesday 29 October
Taking over Depot Mayfield for a special homecoming show and his only headline performance this year, Mancunian rapper Aitch’s gig is set to be one of the biggest this Waterhouse Project season. Fresh from dropping his new album, 4, the BRIT Award-winning artist has an endless arsenal of cheeky bars ready to unleash on his local fans.
The Curators
Annie Mac
Annie Mac’s Before Midnight, Depot Mayfield, Saturday 6 September
Broadcaster. Author. Podcaster. Curator. DJ. Annie Mac has endless strings to her bow. From championing countless new artists on her Radio 1 show to running her own festival (Lost & Found, in Malta) for five years, the Irish icon is one of the most respected names in music. Now she’s bringing her own club night, the popular-with-parents Before Midnight, to Warehouse Project for the first time – and crate-digging selector CC:DISCO! will be joining the fun too. The concept is a double win for those who want to boogie the evening away but still get a good night’s sleep.
Sammy Virji
Sammy Virji Curated, Depot Mayfield, Friday 3 October
UKG don Sammy Virji has been single-handedly driving the genre’s mainstream revival, so it makes sense that Warehouse Project have handed him the reins to curate his own party. The talent that he’s picked is on another level, with newer names like Bakey and Oppidan as well as dance favourites Ben UFO and Armand Van Helden. Considering that the Oxford-born DJ and producer – whose second album, Same Day Cleaning, is dropping in mid-September – has already smashed Coachella and collaborated with Skepta (he brought the UK grime legend out as a special guest during his Reading & Leeds set), it’s sure to be one hell of a night.
Marlon Hoffstadt
Marlon Hoffstadt Presents Party of the Year, Depot Mayfield, Saturday 1 November
Having spearheaded the revival of trance and Eurodance but with a modern twist, Berlin DJ and producer Marlon Hoffstadt – AKA DJ Daddy Trance – has grown a huge following over the last few years. Thanks to rocket-speed rave anthems that blend nostalgia with catchy pop elements, he’s become a firm favourite in the European club scene, drawing massive audiences to every show he plays. Considering he doesn’t perform in the UK that often, it’s fitting that his new Party of The Year concept is getting its UK debut at WHP; it’ll be its only show in the country this year. He’s pulled out all the stops for his WHP Halloween weekend takeover, too, bringing DJ Gigola, Malugi and BIIANCO along for the ride.
Drum and bass’s next gen
Nathan X
Worried About Henry, Depot Mayfield, Friday 26 September
One of the UK’s top drum and bass promoters – Worried About Henry – takes over WHP with a full three-room curation of Depot Mayfield. With the scene continuing to thrive, the line-up is stacked with huge names – from pioneers like Andy C, Sub Focus and Wilkinson to fast-rising stars including Nathan X. Despite only having two songs out to date, including breakout debut single ‘Midnight’, he is already shaking things up and bridging the gap between the d’n’b and queer nightlife scenes.
[IVY]
Worried About Henry, Depot Mayfield, Friday 26 September
Also on the WOH line-up is [IVY], who is becoming renowned within the dance scene for her sonically-adventurous tracks and sets. The Bristol-based producer and DJ has taken her genre-spanning sets – think old school rave bangers meets modern drum and bass with a sprinkle of guilty pleasure cheese – to Glastonbury, Boardmasters, Bangface and even EDC Vegas, At Warehouse Project, she’s sure to deliver on the promise of her bio: “dropping tunes that parents would disapprove of”.
Hard, hard, harder
horsegiirL
Marlon Hoffstadt Presents Party of the Year, Depot Mayfield, Saturday 1 November
If you’ve not yet experienced a horsegiirL rave, where the hell have you been for the last two years? ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U
Overmono, Depot Mayfield, The Warehouse Project, Saturday 18 October
Off the back of his viral Boiler Room set in Tokyo, which became one of the platform’s most-viewed videos, reaching over 12 million views on Youtube within half a year, legendary Japanese DJ and producer Yousuke Yukimatsu was hailed as “the DJ of 2025” by tastemaking underground publication Resident Advisor. Known for performing topless during his genre-weaving sets, the brain cancer survivor is sure to whip up a sonic storm when he makes his Warehouse Project debut. Dress to sweat.
Bubble Love
Barry Can’t Swim – Earth’s Only Paradise, Dept Mayfield, The Warehouse Project, Friday 21 November
A freewheeling alias of Ross From Friends (the British producer, not the character David Schwimmer played in the classic US sitcom of the same name), his new unrestricted project is the result of boredom following years of tried and tested success on the live circuit. As Bubble Love, he creates on instinct rather than on how a typical RFF track sounds. His debut album under the moniker spans electro, house, disco, R&B, electronica, rap and much more in a way that feels cohesive, but also with new surprises around every corner. His WHP show is sure to be full of treats.
Mechatok
Overmono, Depot Mayfield, The Warehouse Project, Saturday 18 October
If you’re looking for a glimpse of electronic music’s future, classically-trained “pop star from a parallel universe” (Dazed, 2025) Mechatok has you covered. Fresh from releasing his debut album on cult label Young, the sought-after Munich-born producer, songwriter and Drain Gang affiliate will bring tracks from Wide Awake to life during his WHP debut. The record is a thrilling exploration of identity and authenticity in an era shaped by algorithms and digital overstimulation, so it’ll be interesting to see how he conveys these messages on stage.
Fimiguerrero
Overmono, Depot Mayfield, The Warehouse Project, Saturday 18 October
Hotly topped as being at the vanguard of the next generation of UK rap, don’t miss the chance to brag to your mates that you saw Fimiguerrero first. With a relentless run of TikTok hits at the Nigeria-born London-raised artist’s disposal, it’s going to go off.
